چکیده

The effect of exposing cyanine–fullerene C60 bilayer solar cells to ambient atmosphere is investigated. For exposure times of a few hours and concomitant light soaking, the device performance experiences a drastic power efficiency increase going from 0.14% to 1.2% measured at 30 mW/cm simulated solar irradiation. The 10-fold enhancement is attributed to the photoinduced doping involving oxygen and water leading to the formation of reactive superoxide anions and mobile holes in the cyanine layer. The influence of water and dry oxygen are investigated separately. While water deteriorates the device performance, dry oxygen leads only to a partial increase of efficiency. Annealing does not ameliorate the performance of doped devices. Although then the cyanine layer features more crystallinity, the considerable morphological changes cause diffusional loss in charge carrier collection. Doping of not annealed devices brings a sizeable efficiency enhancement that highlights the importance of charge carrier transport in cyanine dye based solar cells. 2007 Elsevier B.V. Influence of chemically p-type doped active organic semiconductor on the film thickness versus performance trend in cyanine/C60 bilayer solar cells

Simple bilayer organic solar cells rely on very thin coated films that allow for effective light absorption and charge carrier transport away from the heterojunction at the same time. However, thin films are difficult to coat on rough substrates or over large areas, resulting in adverse shorting and low device fabrication yield. Chemical p-type doping of organic semiconductors can reduce Ohmic ...

High efficient Perovskite solar cells base on Niobium Doped TiO2 as a Buffer Layer

Here, the effect of lightly Niobium doped TiO2 layer on the performance of perovskite solar cells has been studied by using solar cell capacitance simulator (SCAPS). N addition, the effects of Niobium concentration, buffer film thickness and operating temperature on the performance of the perovskite solar cell are investigated. For doping level of 3.0 mol% into the TiO2 layer, cell efficiency o...

N-Ion-implanted TiO2 photoanodes in quantum dot-sensitized solar cells.

Hierarchical nanostructured titanium dioxide (TiO(2)) clumps were fabricated using electrostatic spray with subsequent nitrogen-ion doping by an ion-implantation technique for improvement of energy conversion efficiency for quantum dot-sensitized solar cells (QDSCs). CdSe quantum dots were directly assembled on the produced N-ion-implanted TiO(2) photoanodes by chemical bath deposition, and the...
